"When I was making the transition from renting to buying, the most important thing – my main criteria – was living in an environmentally friendly building. I looked at a couple of different buildings in Battery Park and this was by far the nicest, and also seemed to take the LEED certification the most seriously."

"I like the way they've set up the building – there’s a lot of accessibility for recycling. There's a place to throw away used batteries – that was always a pet peeve of mine, what to do with batteries. Also, they collect CFLs – the little light bulbs have mercury in them – and, there's a bin for lightly used clothes. They make it really easy to do those little things that everybody should be doing."

"That’s what I love about Battery Park City – you’re in New York City with access to everything, but you come home and almost feel like you're in the country. It's really relaxing. Even when there are a lot of people, it has a different feeling. I think because of all the green space and because it's open towards the water, you don’t feel boxed in."
